Jacob K. Muller Died In Hospital

Jacob K. Muller, Beaver township farmer, died in the Grundy hospital about 6:45 last Wednesday evening. He had been a patient in the hospital since Nov. 29 of last year. He was 86 years old and had resided in Grundy county all of his life.

The body was taken to the Engelkes Funeral Home in Grundy Center where arrangements were made.

Services were held at 1:30 on Saturday at the Pleasant Valley Reformed church, two miles west of Fern. Rev. Gerald Osland officiated at the service. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mr. Muller was born in Colfax township, Grundy county, Dec. 18, 1890[sic], and he grew up there. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Klaas Muller.

On March 1, 1905, Jacob Muller and Grace Everts were married. They farmed in Beaver township during most of their married life. Mrs. Muller died June 9, 1963.

Surviving are two sons and four daughters. The sons are Klaas of New Hartford and Jake of Aplington. The daughters are: Mrs. Wilham Willms, Dike; Mrs. Dick Seehusen, Dike, Freda, who is at home, Mrs. Arthur DeVries, Cedar Falls.

There are 17 surviving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Other surviving members of the family are one sister, Mrs. Sara Wirtjes, Grundy Center, two brothers, J. K. Muller, Parkersburg, and Klaas Muller, Cedar Falls.
