William Eugene Stout, 94, of Grundy Center, formerly of Punta Gorda, FL, where he lived for 34 years, died December 1, at Grundy Care Center, Grundy Center. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, December 10, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Grundy Center. There will be a private family burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center, at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Grundy Center, or to the United Methodist Church, Grundy Center.

William was born November 8, 1911, in rural Grundy Center. He was the son of Orlen & Maye Stout. He married Irene Aman Stout on September 24, 1994. William graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1928. He retired from General Motors in Detroit, MI.

Survivors include, his wife, Irene; a niece, Mary Camille Irons and her husband, Terry; great-niece, Landon Wrather, and husband Robert, and her two children.

William was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Hazel; and a brother, Donald.
