Barbara C. Higgins, 81, of Conrad, died March 27 at the Oakview Nursing Home, Conrad. Funeral services were March 31 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Burial was in the Conrad Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.

Barbara was born September 29, 1922, the daughter of August A. and Hulda J. (Baumann) Roggow. She graduated from Pleasantville High School. On July 27, 1943, she was united in marriage to Dewey E. Higgins.

She is survived by two sons; a daughter; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; and a sister.
