Wilma E. Kruschwitz, 97, of Conrad, died March 14 at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Funeral services will be at Ivester Church of the Brethren, rural Grundy Center, on Thursday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Sheller Cemetery, rural Eldora. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Johnston Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17, with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

Wilma was born Oct. 11, 1906, in Kesley, the daughter of William H. and Mary C. (Allen) Albright. She graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1923. On June 1, 1932, Wilma married Alfred O. Kruschwitz in rural Grundy Center. She was a homemaker. She then attended Manchester College and received a 2-year teaching degree and later graduated from Drake University in 1967. Wilma taught school in Palermo and Melrose Twp. schools and later taught for many years in the Wellsburg School system.

Wilma is survived by two sons, Forrest (LaVonne) E. Kruschwitz of Grundy Center and Dohn (Clarice) Kruschwitz, Portland, OR; one daughter, LaDonna (Ronald) Brunk, Eldora.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband in 1988, a sister, Mae Kruschwitz, and four brothers, Joseph, Jacob, Galen and Bruce Albright.
