Ruth Strohbehn, 75, of Reinbeck, passed away February 21 at Parkview Manor in Reinbeck. Funeral services were February 25 at the Reinbeck Union Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial followed in the Reinbeck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Reinbeck Union Congregational United Church of Christ Christian Education Fund.

Ruth Helen was born December 30, 1928, the daughter of Severin B. and Mary Larsen Nordskog. Ruth graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1946, and Iowa state Teachers College in 1950. In June of 1948, she married Richard Selah. Richard died in 1953. She married Fred Strohbehn on December 27, 1956. Fred and Ruth lived their entire life on the Century Strohbehn farm. Ruth took an active role in the farm office which accounted for a busy cattle feedlot and the Reinbeck Asparagus Farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister.

Ruth is survived by her husband; three sons, five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a brother.
