James Lee Kuehl, 59, of Grundy Center, died January 5 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Funeral services were January 7 at the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. A memorial fund has been established.

James was born November 17, 1944, in Grundy Center, the son of Hans and Izetta (Ennenga) Kuehl. He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1963. After graduation, he worked for Paymaster Seed and Mid-Equipment before working for Kay Park & Rec. Manufacturing in Janesville for 17 years. He married Barb Moeller. They later divorced.

James is survived by his daughters, Robyn and Andrea, both of Ames; and his mother, Izetta Kuehl of Grundy Center.

James was preceded in death by a son, Joel David Kuehl; and his father, Hans Kuehl.
