Harold H. Boege, 83, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Reinbeck, passed away on December 24 at RFK Hospital in California. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 16 at the Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Burial will follow in the Reinbeck Cemetery with military rites provided by the Reinbeck American Legion Action Post #242. A Masonic service will be exemplified by the Reinbeck Coin Masonic Lodge #394 A.F. & A.M. at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home where the family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. A memorial fund is being established.

Harold was born on January 16, 1920, to Edward and Emma Boege in Grundy County. He received his early education in Lincoln and graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1939. Harold later served in the Untied States Army in World War II.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a sister in childhood.

He is survived by two sisters; two nephews; three nieces; and a step-son.
