Funeral Held Tuesday For Hilda Lindaman

Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Lindaman were held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1975, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peters United Church of Christ northwest of Wellsburg. Ronald Fisher officiated at the services. Mrs. Ronald Fisher was soloist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Andrew Miller and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson. Pall bearers were Warren Lindaman, Harold Lindaman, Bill Klingenborg, Lowell Bruns, Herbert Franke and Delbert Tjabring. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Lindaman passed away suddenly Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 1975 at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo. On Sept. 30th she fell at her home and sustained a broken hip and was taken to the Allen Memorial hospital. She reached the age of 79 years and 7 days.

She was born on a farm southwest of Dumont in Butler County, Iowa, on Oct. 25, 1896, to Ben and Gertrude Johnson Tjabring. Later she moved to a farm in German township with her parents and family. On Jan. 29, 1920 she was united in marriage with Hie Lindaman. She and her husband resided in German township during their entire married life. To this union was born one son, Jacob B. Lindaman.

Preceding Mrs. Lindaman in death were her parents, one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Bruns, one brother, Harm Tjabring, and her husband.

Those left to mourn her passing are her son, Jacob B. Lindaman of Wellsburg, a daughter-in-law, Anna Lindaman; two grandchildren, Eileen (Mrs. Russell Janssen) of Ackley and Virgil Lindaman of Wellsburg; also one great-granddaughter, Jill Janssen. Others who survive are three brothers: Pete Tjabring and John Tjabring of Dumont, and Ben Tjabring of Hampton, and one sister, Mrs. John J. (Gesina) Nevenhoven of Aplington, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home of Ackley was in charge of arrangements.
