Sam Fricke, Native Of Germany, Dies

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 24 for Sam Fricke, who passed away December 22 at a nursing home in Eldora. Mr. Fricke had suffered a stroke September 21 and had spent a month in the Lutheran hospital in Hampton before entering the nursing home at Eldora.

Mr. Fricke was born November 14, 1868 in Germany and came to this country when he was about 21. He spent most of his life in and around the Ackley community. He never married.

The Rev. Keith Kloestermann had charge of the service, which was held in St. Peter's Church near Wellsburg. Burial was in the church cemetery.
