Last Rites Held for Evert Boyenga at E. Friesland Church

Funeral services for Evert Boyenga were held Tuesday afternoon in the East Friesland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Lee Feero conducted the rites, and also the prayer service which preceded them in the Bohle Willems home. Interment was in the East Friesland church cemetery.

Mr. Boyenga, son of Jacob and Bena Boyenga, was born September 27, 1880, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of seven and spent his entire life in the Cleves community.

He served as director of the Wellsburg Bank for many years. He was also employed at the Cleves elevator. Mr. Boyenga was a faithful attendant of the East Friesland Church.

He died Saturday, October 3, at the age of 84 at the Reiners Nursing Home in Dumont.

One brother, two sisters and his parents preceded him in death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bohle Willems, and a brother, Joe Boyenga.
