Services Wednesday For Mrs. Meta Abbas

Mrs. Meta Abbas died Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lena Richtsmeier, in Waterloo.

She was born in Oldenburg, Germany, December 5, 1870, and came to the United States to live in 1890. She was married to Reemt Abbas, who died August 24, 1951. She and her husband made their home in Ackley many years, and when failing health made it necessary, moved to Waterloo several years ago.

She is survived by three sons, Hemmo of Latimer, Joe of Alden, and Chris of Stratford; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Oleson of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Richtsmeier of Waterloo; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, John and George, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at Brandt's Funeral Home Wednesday at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank C. Kroll. Interment was in East Friesland cemetery.
