Last Rites For George Beving Held Wednesday Afternoon

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 13th at the John J. Beving home and later at the East Friesland Presbyterian church for George Alfred Beving. Rev. Calvin Siemsen was in charge of services. Pall bearers were six of George's cousins.

George Alfred Beving, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Beving was born May 18, 1911 in Grundy County, Iowa. On Sunday afternoon, June 10, 1951 he passed away in the Schoitz Memorial hospital at Waterloo.

His entire life was spent on the farm in German township excepting for the last four years when he was employed in Waterloo.

He was afflicted with carcinoma; an operation on May 9 revealed that his condition was beyond medical help.

The surviving relatives are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Beving; two brothers and two sisters; LeRoy of Wellsburg, John and Margaret (Mrs. Elmer Rupe) both of Cedar Rapids and Alyce (Mrs. Vinson Luwe) of Guam and his aged grandfather, Gerhard Willems of Ackley. A sister preceded him in death.
