Ann Borchers, 84, of Waterloo, died at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center, September 4, 2013.

Ann Evers was born March 11, 1929, in Butler County, Iowa, the daughter of Treno and Jennie Hinders Evers. She grew up with her three brothers and sister on her parents farm. Ann married Russell S. Borchers September 3, 1966 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua and they moved to Waterloo. Russ died October 24, 1994, at age 58.

Ann worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. for many years, the last as a painter on the paint line, and she then worked as a TV Hostess at Allen and Covenant Hospitals. She worked hard but always kept in touch with family and friends.

Ann is survived by her brother Treno (Eunice) Evers of Waterloo; two bothers‑in‑law, Bob Ghoske of Iowa Falls and Albert Borche of Ackley; nieces and nephews: Kevin Evers of Texas, Mary (David) Corbut of Texas, Ann Ghoske of Cedar Rapids, Allen Ghoske of Iowa Falls, and Karla (Sam) Summerhays of Waterloo, and their children Scott Evers, Josh Summerhays and Dakota Corbut.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Gert Borchers, brothers Clarence and Johnny Evers and close friend Leonard Brumbaugh.
