Rites Today For Mrs. Harrenstein

Mrs. Minnie Harrenstein, 91, passed away Monday, October 13, at 6:45 a.m. at Mathers Nursing Home.

The daughter of August and Christina nee Beneking Ascher, Minnie was born June 2, 1878, at Freeport, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Omke Harrenstein on December 2, 1898, at Wellsburg.

Survivors include: one son, Herman Harrenstein of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Violet Rash of Rock Island, Illinois, Mrs. Rose Starkweather of Greene and Mrs. Cleo O'Keefe of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Harrenstein was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Emma; her parents; four sisters; and two brothers.

Services will be held at Reid's Funeral Chapel at 12:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, with Rev. Paul Metzger officiating, and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellsburg at 2:30 p.m.

Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery at Wellsburg.
