Mrs. Anna Muller Dies in Hospital In Waterloo Sunday

Mrs. Anna Muller passed away quietly in her sleep February 19, 1961 at 8:50 p.m. at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, ten days after suffering a severe stroke. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Ackley with the Rev. R. B. Emery of Oelwein officiating. Burial was made in the West Friesland Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Mrs. Muller was born December 9, 1882 to Reemt and Anna Heijenga Harken at Austinville. On June 20, 1912, she and William E. Muller were married and they made their home on a farm near Ackley. Mrs. Muller moved into town when her husband passed away March 8, 1930.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and of its Ladies Aid.

Surviving Mrs. Muller are her three daughters, Henriette Muller of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Fred (Ann) Giese and Mrs. Hilton (Wilma) Frerichs, both of Ackley; three grandchildren; two brothers, Corneal Harken of Ackley and Ben Harken of Waterloo.
