Jake L. Glaze Funeral Friday

Jacob L. Glaze, a resident of Ackley for fifty years, died at his home at four o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Glaze, who would have been 77 years old next week, had been in failing health for several months.

He was born in Elmo, Missouri, September 18, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Glaze. He came to Ackley with an uncle in 1898, and they worked together in the roofing business.

He was married in 1901 to Emma Kottman and they became the parents of two sons. She passed away in 1940. In February, 1958, Mr. Glaze married Eva Voy.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Frank and Roy, both of Ackley, one grandson, Wally Glaze, and three great-grandchildren. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Brandt's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the West Friesland Church cemetery. The Rev. W. E. Gillett will officiate.
