Mrs. Harry Ulfers Dies in Wellsburg
Mrs. Harry Ulfers passed away late Tuesday afternoon at the Golden Age Restorium Home in Wellsburg. Mrs. Ulfers, who had been a patient at the home for about two years, suffered a stroke on Monday.
Funeral arrangements had not been made at press time Wednesday, pending the arrival of her husband from their home in Arena, N.D.

Mrs. Harry Ulfers Dies in Wellsburg After Long Illness
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Ulfers were held at the Golden Age Restorium in Wellsburg at 1:15 p.m. Friday and at the West Friesland Presbyterian church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. R. B. Emery, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating.
Henrietta (Jansonius) Ulfers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jansonius, was born November 7, 1875 in Grundy County Iowa. She grew up in the Ackley vicinity.
On January 1, 1904 she was united in marriage to Harry Ulfers. They settled on a farm east of Ackley where they lived until 1914 when they moved to North Dakota. After settling in North Dakota they were instrumental in building a rural church and organizing a Sunday school of which Mrs. Ulfers was Superintendent as long as she was physically able.
On February 25, 1953 she entered the Golden Age Restorium in Wellsburg where she passed away at 2 p.m. on August 9, 1955.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Ulfers, one brother, Arthur Jansonius, Ackley; five sisters; Bertha Roberts, Caldwell, Idaho; Ipina Harken, Austinville; Sara Limburg, Ida Humke, Ackley; Kate Hesslink, Holland, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
