Ackley--Funeral services for Mrs. John Neymeyer, 61, who died of carcinoma at her home on South Franklin street Sunday, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday from her late home and at 1:30 at the Westfriesland Presbyterian church; burial in church cemetery; born Elizabeth B. Harken Apr. 12, 1890, on a farm in Grundy county, south of Aplington, where she grew to womanhood; married to John Neymeyer Feb. 21, 1917, living on a farm until they retired five years ago last spring; leaves husband, five children, Lester and Wayne, Ackley; Emery, Greene; Irene, who had been teaching in the schools at Twin Falls, Ida., but home from some months past, and Betty, at home; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Westendorf, Aplington, and Mrs. Ed Buschmann, Lakota.

Mrs. John Niemeyer Died Sunday At Ackley

Mrs. John Niemeyer died Sunday afternoon at her home in Ackley. She had been in failing health for the past year and was confined to her bed three months before her death. She was 61 years old.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Ackley. Burial was in the Ackley cemetery.

Mrs. Niemeyer's maiden name was Elizabeth Harken. She was born on a farm in north Grundy. Five years ago she and her husband moved to Ackley.

She was married to John Neymeyer Feb. 21, 1917, living on a farm until they retired five years ago last spring; leaves husband, five children, Lester and Wayne, Ackley; Emery, Greene; Irene, who had been teaching in the schools at Twin Falls, Ida., but home for some months past; and Betty, at home; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Westendorf, Aplington, and Mrs. Ed Buschmann, Lakota.
