Alice Elaine Ennenga, 88, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away on January 13, 2016 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Elaine was born on August 12, 1927 in Grundy County, Iowa to her parents Emil and Emmi (Vogt) Tessau. She graduated from Reinbeck High School. Elaine worked at the Reinbeck Telephone Company as a telephone operator and the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in the dietary department. Elaine was united in marriage to Dale Ennenga on December 11, 1953 in Reinbeck, Iowa. Together they welcomed their daughter Brenda into their family.

Elaine was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. She enjoyed flowers, canning and loved to play cards and bingo. Elaine's true joy in life came from spending time with her family especially her daughter and granddaughter. Elaine feels she will be remembered for working on crafts, word finds and her garden.

Elaine is survived by her daughter Brenda (Ben) Cohen of Thousand Oaks CA; granddaughter Haley Cohen also of Thousand Oaks CA; brothers Roy (Sue) Tessau of Reinbeck, IA and Ray (Carol) Tessau of Wellsburg, IA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale and two sisters, Marlys Meester and Maryann Tessau.
