Services Were Tuesday For Henry Heeren
Henry Heeren, age 68, passed away Saturday afternoon at the Marshalltown Community Hospital West. He had been hospitalized about two weeks.
Services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, with burial in the Reinbeck cemetery. Rev. Paul Tanis of the Reformed Church at Stout officiated.
He was born February 7, 1902, in Shiloh township, Grundy Co., the son of Mr. and Mrs. ? Heeren. He worked on farms for several years and was employed by John Deere Tractor Company, in Waterloo, and also at the Iowa Steel and Iron Works in Cedar Rapids.
He was married to Hermina Bloem. She passed away January 5, 1953. After re-marrying, he lived in Cedar Rapids for several years. Six years ago, he came to Reinbeck. For the past year he has been a resident at Marshalltown Manor.
Survivors are his widow, three daughters and one one; also two uncles, two aunts, and several cousins.
