Dorothy Seehusen, 66, of Dumont, passed away on November 26 at the Dumont Care Center of natural causes.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dumont Reformed Church with Rev. Carl Gearhart officiating. Burial followed at the Lincoln Center Cemetery, Dike.
Dorothy was born April 1, 1926, the daughter of Joh and JoHanna (Meyer) Sessler in Dumont. She received her education from the Aplington High School. She then attended UNI where she earned a B.A. Degree.
On August 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to John R. Seehusen at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. She was a school teacher for 31 years and was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 1 brother.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Seehusen of Omaha, and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Kampman of Allison; 1 son, Kenneth of Parkersburg; 3 sisters, Irene Walterman of Dike, Ruth Sessler of Los Angeles, CA, and Anna Mae Rogers of Des Moines; 2 brothers, Andrew of Plainfield and Art of Parkersburg; and 1 grandchild.
Vogel Funeral Home of Dumont was in charge of the arrangements.
