F. Kannegieter Services Held

Florence H. Kannegieter, 92, of Ackley, passed away on August 13 at the Ackley Presbyterian Home.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Olsen officiating.

Florence was born on November 1, 1899, in Steamboat Rock the daughter of Henry and Antje Wilts Jaspers. She attended country school in rural Steamboat Rock.

On February 11, 1926, Florence was united in marriage to Matthew Kannegieter at her home in rural Steamboat Rock. She was a charter member of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church Missionary Guild, and was church organist for one year.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew and her parents.

Survivors include a sister, Fannie Aikes of Cleves and a brother, Abraham Jaspers of Steamboat Rock.

The Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home in Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.
