Frances Schultz Services Held
Frances E. Schultz, of Conrad, was born on September 20, 1903, the daughter of Charles and Mary Hickethier Schultz in Liscomb. She passed away on Wednesday, March 18 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center of congestive heart failure.
She worked at the Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad when it first opened and remained for about 6 1/2 years. She worked a short time at Green Acres Nursing Home in Green Mountain and then cared for several local residents in their homes. Frances was a Conrad UMW Honorary Member, a member of the Conrad Cemetery Society, a former member of he Royal Neighbors of America, and held the longest membership of any living member of the Conrad United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include a sister, Pearl Schultz of Conrad; four nieces; two nephews, Charles Friend of Conrad, and William M. Schultz of Cedar Rapids, and two great-nieces.
Funeral services were held on March 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Conrad United Methodist church with Rev. David Crow officiating. Casket bearers were Cecil Wehrman, Dean Sharp, Mark Dvorak, Wallace Kitzman, Brady Reel, and Rev. Helmer Peterson.
