Dorothy Ploog Services Held

Services for Dorothy M. Ploog, 94, Lincoln, who died Thursday, February 6 at her home, were held Saturday, February 8 at the Salem Church in Lincoln. Burial was in the Reinbeck Cemetery.

She was born in Reinbeck on October 9, 1897, to Frank R. and Minnie Morris Bennett. She graduated from Reinbeck High School and then the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in 1919.

She married Dr. Albert J. Ploog on January 24, 1920 in Des Moines and they lived in Lincoln.

She was a 71-year member of the Order of Eastern Star #326 in Gladbrook and a Past Matron, a 71-year member of the Salem Church, and a long time member of the Salem Ladies Aid.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Ploog, Lincoln, and Mrs. Robert A. (Pauline) Johannsen, Greensboro, NC, a grandson, Scott Jake Johannsen, Santa Monica, CA, and a granddaughter, Susan K. Johannsen, Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969 and a son, Charles, in 1934.
