Lois A. Draper, 68, of Eldora, IA passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at Eldora Nursing and Rehab. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the Ivester Church of the Brethren. Visitation will be 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes. Memorials may be directed to Ivester Church of the Brethren, On with Life, or Iowa Rivier Hospice.

Lois was born July 19, 1944 to Fred and Florence (Bockes) Draper. She attended Melrose #7 and #8 rural schools and graduated from Grundy Center Community Schools in 1962. She attended McPherson College in McPerson, KS and business school in Omaha, NE. Lois worked at data entry positions for several businesses in Des Moines, including Iowa Paint for 15 to 20 years, and also Iowa Health Systems. Lois was a member of the Ivester Church of the Brethren. Lois was a skilled seamstress and loved flower gardening. She enjoyed photography and also spinning wool into yarn. She restored an old family spinning wheel into operation, and demonstrated spinning on many occasions.

Lois will be missed by three sisters; Helen (Don) Price of Eldora, Mary (Rhoads) Swindall of Vernon, TX, Alice Draper of Eldora, two brothers; Dale (Ali) Draper of Florence, SC, Glen (Vicki) Draper of Eldora, and many nieces and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother John who died in infancy.
