Leroy Kuper age 71 of Ackley, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Ackley with burial in the West Friesland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Ackley. The Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley is in charge of arrangements.

Leroy Kuper was born September 23, 1943 at home in Franklin County, Iowa, the son of Folkert and Leola (Neymeyer) Kuper. He graduated from the Ackley High School in 1962. On May 24, 1975 Leroy was united in marriage to Marlene Heerkes. He was a farmer and a hog buyer. Leroy was a member of the West Friesland Presbyterian Church at Ackley.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Marlene; two sons, Brian and his wife, Dixie of Ackley and Brent and his wife, Stacie of Ackley; two grandchildren, MaKenna Jo Kuper and Kesley Jo Kuper; two sisters, Darlene (Gary) Lindaman and Marlys (Jack) Wessels; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Kuper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald; a nephew, Jeffery Lindaman; and a niece, Heather Crotty.
