J. Dreesman Services Held

Joyce Elaine Dreesman, 31, passed away on July 7, at Clear Lake, of injuries received in a weather-related accident.

Funeral services were held on July 11, at Orchard Hill Reformed Church in Cedar Falls, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Baker officiating.

Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Joyce was born the daughter of Chris and Viola Johnson Dreesman on December 4, 1959, in Waterloo. She grew up in the Parkersburg and Allison areas. She moved with her family to the Dike area at the age of 18. Joyce attended River Hills School in Waterloo until she was 18, and then attended Adults, Incorporated. She was a member of Orchard Hill Reformed Church in Cedar Falls.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Carl and Ella Dreesman.

Survivors include her parents, Chris and Viola Dreesman of Dike; one brother, Daryl Dreesman and wife Cynthia of Grundy Center; one sister, Karen Dreesman of Cedar Falls; two nephews, Scott James Dreesman and Dustin Lee Dreesman, and maternal grandparents, George S. and Alice Johnson of Allison.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

The Dike Funeral Chapel, Dike, was in charge of arrangements.
