Rites Held For Ruth Schildroth

Ruth E. Schildroth, age 76, of 903 Blackhawk Street, Reinbeck, IA, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 1991, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of complications following heart by-pass surgery.

Services were held on Monday, June 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck with Rev. Omar Petersen officiating.

Casket bearers were her three sons, L. George, Craig and Warren, and three sons-in-law, Robert Bown, Marvin Petersen and Lowell Trepp. Interment was in the Reinbeck Cemetery.

Ruth E., the daughter of Charles J. and Alma Duesenberg Lacour was born on December 8, 1914 in Floyd County, Iowa. She graduated from the Charles City High School. On April 17, 1936 she was married to Leonard G. Schildroth. The couple lived on their farm northeast of Reinbeck until January 1988 when they moved to 903 Blackhawk Street in Reinbeck.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and the Reinbeck Women's Club. Her husband preceded her in death in May 1988.

Survivors include her brother, Wilbur Lacour of Nashua, three daughters: Patricia Bown of Hudson, Delores Petersen of Grundy Center, and Ruth Ann Trepp of Reinbeck; three sons: L. George, Craig and Warren, all of rural Reinbeck, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The French-Hand Funeral Home of Reinbeck was in charge of arrangements.
