Services For Daisy Kline

Daisy Charity Jane Kline, 87, of Conrad, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.

Services were held at the Conrad United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 9, at 9 a.m., with the Rev. David Crow officiating.

Casket bearers were Douglas Kline, Gregory Kline, Nile Dielschneider, Hal Dielschneider, Vic Dielschneider, and Chad Dielschneider.

Interment was in the Conrad Cemetery in Conrad.

Daisy, the daughter of Harry C. and Nancy Wagoner Huedspeth, was born on Wednesday, September 30, 1903, in Marshall County, Iowa. She was educated in country schools in Grundy and Marshall counties.

She was united in marriage to Leslie Eugene Kline on December 20, 1924, in Ames. The couple lived on a farm north of Conrad before moving to their home 26 years ago in Conrad.

Daisy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Conrad, the United Methodist women's club, the Dorcas Quilters, the Progress Club, and the Women's Temperance Union in Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leslie, in January 1988; one sister and three brothers.

Survivors include one son Lee Kline of Des Moines; one daughter Marlys Dielschneider of Conrad; one sister, Mrs. Dwight (Viola) Crouse of Baudette, MN, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

The Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad was in charge of arrangements.
