Chase Services Held Tuesday
Services were held for Robert Chase, 73, at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Howland officiating. Masonic rites were conducted. Johnston Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Conrad Cemetery.
Mr. Chase died Thursday afternoon in Sherman Oaks, California, while assisting a sister.
He was born in Oklahoma, Sept. 7, 1896, and he moved to Tipton where he attended school. He worked at a lithograph firm in Des Moines for 23 years.
He was married to Roma Clifford; she died in 1963. He then moved to Conrad where he worked for the Conrad Record for six years. He quit working after suffering a heart attack about a year and a half ago.
In Conrad he belonged to the Masonic Roman Lodge AF & AM and the Lions Club.
Survivors are a brother, Howard, Las Vegas, Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Marge ?, Sherman Oaks, California.
