Roy Bern, 66, Dies At County Hospital

Roy Bern, 66, a retired farmer, died early Thursday morning at the Grundy County Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.

He was born at Lincoln, August, 19, 1899.

Survivors include his widow, Alma; one son, Wilmer of Hudson, five brothers, Henry of Reinbeck, William of Gladbrook, John of Cherokee, George of Westfield, Rudolph of Long Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Rehder of Calumet, Mrs. Hans (Emma) Stricker of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Lena Dahms of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Henry (Alvena) Dahms of Gladbrook.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
