Former Fredsville Merchant Dies in C.F.

Hans Aagaard, who at one time owned and operated a store at Fredsville, died recently at St. Francis hospital following a stroke. He was 75 years old. He was born in Fredsville, Oct. 8th, 1890. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Aagaard and grew up in the Fredsville community.

Services were held Saturday in the Dahl funeral home at Cedar Falls. Burial was in the Fredsville cemetery.

Hans Aagaard operated a grocery store in Fredsville for a number of years and then went into sales promotion work. The last few years he had been employed at the Israel clothing company in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Karl C. (Audrey) Kokotan of Elk Run Heights, and a son, Rev. H. Carrel Aagaard, a missionary stationed in Manilla, the Philippine Islands. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter and two brothers.
