Harm Veenker Died In C.F. Hospital

Harm J. Veenker died Thursday morning in Sartori hospital at Cedar Falls, where he had been a patient but a short time. He was 76 years old. For many years he resided on his farm five miles north of Grundy Center, where he treated patients with various ailments. Many of his patients came from a considerable distance.

The body was brought to the Ferree funeral home, where services were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. E. H. Buschman. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mr. Veenker was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Veenker. He was born near Holland, Iowa, August 5, 1889. He grew up on the farm in Colfax township. After his marriage in 1912, he and his wife moved on the farm north of Grundy Center where they resided continually during their lifetime. The wife died in 1963. He lived alone on his farm after her death.

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Ollie DeBerg, Reinbeck, and Mrs. Henry F. Meester, Wellsburg. There are six surviving grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Dan Jaenisch, Clara City, Minn.

Preceding him in death in addition to his wife was one sister and one great-grandchild.
