James Mooty Dies On Reinbeck Street
James Mooty suffered a heart attack on a street in Reinbeck shortly before noon last Wednesday. His body was discovered soon after. He was given oxygen treatment by the emergency truck squad in Reinbeck and rushed to the Grundy hospital. He was dead when the ambulance with the body arrived at the hospital. A heart attack was the cause of his death.
Funeral services were Friday afternoon at the French funeral home in Reinbeck. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.
Mr. Mooty was born on a farm in Washington township and he grew up there. He sold his farm several years ago and he and his wife moved to Reinbeck where they made their home continually. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mooty, Reinbeck.
Surviving are the wife and three sons. The sons Thomas and Merle reside in California, and Howard lives in Waterloo. Other surviving members of his family are a brother, Dwight Mooty, of Grundy Center, and a sister, Winnie Doherty, Cedar Rapids, and several cousins.
