Eugene F. Stover Rites Held Here
Eugene Fred Stover, 66, died Saturday about 11 a.m. at Pleasant Oak Nursing Home in Tama where he had lived for two years.
He was born November 5, 1899, at Conrad, son of Lincoln and Elizabeth Koehler Stover and reared in this area. He farmed here until 1929. In September, 1963, he went to the Red Arrow Board and Rooming House in Marshalltown and in November of that year moved to Pleasant Oak Nursing Home.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include one brother, Melvin of Conrad; one sister, Mrs. Stanley (Bernice) Clarke of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister-in-law Mrs. Bina Stover, Conrad; and six nephews and nieces. One brother Herbert preceded him in death in 1953.
Services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God church. Rev. George Mosby officiated. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery. Johnston's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
