Hazel Eberline Dies
Death Tuesday night is reported from the Doyen Funeral Home at Wellsburg.
Hazel Eberline was taken from the Burke Nursing Home at Union Tuesday to the Grundy hospital, where she died late that night. She had been in failing health for some time. She was 60 years old. Funeral arrangements are pending at the funeral home. She is survived by a brother, Ford, and a sister, Edna.

Hazel Eberline Passed Away Wed. Morning
Hazel Elizabeth Eberline passed away early Wednesday morning, August 11 in the Grundy Co. Memorial hospital. She had entered the hospital Tuesday morning, being taken from the Burke Nursing Home at Union, where she had been a patient since July 30th.
On May 8th, she was taken to Iowa University hospital following a fall. She had major surgery on May 19th, and following a convalescent period there she was transferred to the Long Nursing Home at Iowa Falls. She then spent a short time at home before entering the Burke Nursing Home. She reached the age of 60 years, one month, and 12 days.
Hazel was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Eberline on June 29, 1905, on the family farm in Pleasant Valley township. She attended the rural school in the area.
In 1923, she moved to Wellsburg with her father and two sisters, Edna and Hilda. She had made her home in Wellsburg since that time. Her father passed away in 1938, and her sister Hilda passed away in 1947.
She was a member of the Second Christian Reformed church and attended there as long as her health permitted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Those left to mourn her passing are: her sister Edna and a brother Ford both of Wellsburg.
Funeral services for Hazel Eberline were held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Second Christian Reformed church. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley E.U.B. cemetery northeast of Wellsburg.
Rev. Bernard Visscher was officiating clergyman. Music was given by Miss Betty Anderson and Mrs. Ivan Slifer. Mrs. Ray Toomsen was organist.
Flower attendants were Mrs. John Heinrich and Mrs. Bernard Stahl.
Pall bearers were Verne Eberline, Donald Eberline, Merville Eberline, Harold F. Harms, Marlin Harms and Virgil Groninga.
