Services Thursday For Julia C. Owen

Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Thursday forenoon at the Ferree Funeral home for Julia Crary Owen, who died quite suddenly Monday at the hospital in Evanston, Ill. She was returning from a two months' trip to Europe, and had stopped at the home of her sister, Mrs. Winson Voss, in Evanston on her way home to California, where she resided since leaving Grundy Center. She was 62 years old.

The service will be conducted by Rev. Duane Heap, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial will be by the side of her parents in the Grundy Center cemetery.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Crary. She was born in Grundy Center, graduated from the Grundy Center high school and from the State University of Iowa. Shortly after her graduation she went to California and made her home.

She had owned and managed Radio station KOWN at Escondido, Calif., until she sold it recently.

Surviving are a brother, Judge A. Crary, Newport Beach, Cal.; 3 sister: Mrs. Annabelle Jump, California; Winson, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Evelyn Bacon, Virginia. Other survivors are two aunts, Mrs. Ann Morrison and Mrs. Nelle Morrison, who reside in Grundy Center.
