George Heikens died at his home at Woden Monday night after a long sickness. His remains were brought here last night. They were taken to the home of his nephew, Hilko Rindels. Funeral services were held at the home today and later at the Rev. Hoefker church. The deceased was Mrs. Walter A. Neessen's father.

Obituary

George Heikens was born in Eastfriesland, Germany sixty-nine years ago and he died at Woden remains were sent to Wellsburg and reached here Thursday evening. They were taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Rindels. Short services were held there Friday and later at the Hoefker church west of town.

Mr. Heikens had been sick with dropsy for some time and his death was not unexpected. The deceased was a former resident of this county. He left here for Woden about fifteen years ago. His wife died some twenty-five years ago and the husband's remains were laid by the side of her.
