Jake Pipher Dies From Stroke at Home in Conrad

Jake Pipher, a long time resident of Conrad and vicinity, died at his home last Saturday afternoon. He suffered a stroke of paralysis a short time ago which later resulted in his death. He had been in failing health a number of years.

Mr. Pipher was born in Illinois 69 years ago. He came to Grundy county when he was a young man and resided there continually up to the time of his death. In late years he made his home with his brother Zack, living a short distance north of Conrad.

Surviving relatives are one sister, Mrs. Lee Coulter of Conrad, and two brothers, Frank from near Whitten and Zeck from Conrad.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Zack Pipher home. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
