Mrs. Casper Jutting, A Pioneer Resident, Died Friday Night

Mrs. Casper Jutting, who lived in this locality for 66 years, died at the family home a mile east of Cleves last Friday night. Old age was the cause. She had been in failing health during all of the past year.

Funeral services were held at the home at 12:30 Tuesday and later at the Engelke church with the local pastor officiating. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Jutting's maiden name was Trentje Beving. She was born in Germany. When she was 13 years old she came to this section of the country with her folks and resided in Hardin and Grundy counties during all of that time. She was 79 years old.

Surviving are the husband, five sons and two daughters. The sons are Dick, Will, Ubbe, Theo. and John, all of whom reside in this section. The daughters are Mrs. Sherveldt of German township and Mrs. Henry Cobie from Ackley. A third daughter died a few years ago. Other relatives are a brother, Dick, from Fergus Falls, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. J. Riekena of Wellsburg.
