Mrs. Laura Boysen Dies Monday at Soldiers' Home

Mrs. Laura Boysen died at the Soldiers' Home at Marshalltown on Monday afternoon from heart trouble with which she was afflicted for most of the past year. She was 71 years old. The body was brought to the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center Monday evening. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. R. B. Fisher, were held this afternoon. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Boysen was born in Fayette. Her maiden name was Laura Barkley. She came to Grundy Center with her parents at the age of 12. For a time she resided in Eldora. She was married to Henry Boysen in 1896. The husband died 23 years ago. Following the death of her husband Mrs. Boysen made her home with relatives and friends much of the time until a year ago when she went to the Soldiers' Home in Marshalltown.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Metzgar, Grundy Center, and Mrs. Mary Rollins, Lincoln, Neb.

Six nephews were pall bearers: Ralph Metzgar, Lyle Metzgar, Chas. Bailey, Art Hasbrouck, Jim Hasbrouck and Harry Hasbrouck.
