Funeral For Mrs. Hudspeth At Conrad Last Thursday

Nancy C. Wagner, daughter of Isaac and Charity Wagner, was born at Booneville, N. C., Feb. 22, 1875, and passed to her heavenly home from the Deaconess hospital at Marshalltown, Iowa, Oct. 4, 1932, being aged at the time of her death 57 years, 7 months and 12 days.

She lived in North Carolina until the time of her marriage to Henry C. Hudspeth, also of North Carolina. To this union were born six children: Elva C. of Conrad; Worth L. of Marshalltown; Mrs. Dasie (Leslie) Kline, of Conrad; Pam J. of Conrad; and Viola and Carol at home.

There remain to cherish her memory and to mourn her departure, besides her husband and six children, six grandchildren, two brothers, J. W. Wagner of New Hampton and J. S. Wagner of Belmond; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Moxley of Booneville, N. C.; Mrs. Jane Blakley of Winston-Salem, N. C. Mrs. Rose Walker of Booneville, N. C., and other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Hudspeth's chief interest was in the home where she will be missed more than any one can realize now. The heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended to the family in this time of bereavement.

She had been a member of the church since childhood. She believed in its teaching, and in the faith in Christ which it imparts she has entered into rest.

The community interests were her interests also. She tried to do her part to carry on the work on the community which makes for the larger and best things of the neighborhood.

She gathered up within her life of 57 1/2 years many of the rare treasures of life to the end that she might impart them to others. Like a gem of rare worth she reflected the light of God's sunlight; so from the setting of a good life the things which are true and beautiful and of good report have been made evident here. Her life was a life of good, and heaven is made richer by her presence there.

Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. K. Hudson, at the Methodist church in Conrad Thursday afternoon at 2:30, and the burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
