Mrs. David Stover, Early Grundy Co. Resident, Is Dead

Mrs. David Stover died at her home in Conrad last Friday. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Conrad on Sunday. Rev. C. K. Hudson, the local pastor, officiated at the service.

Mrs. Stover's maiden name was Rebecca Rodman. She was born at South English, Keokuk county, Iowa, Sept. 24, 1857. She was married at Conrad to David Stover on April 25th, 1878. The family resided in Grundy county from the time of Mr. and Mrs. Stover's marriage.

To this union six children were born, four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Molly Daggett preceded her in death June 24, 1920. The others are Will Stover of Dows, Iowa; Mrs. Grace Cathcart, Beaman; Mrs. Sadie Hunt, Marshalltown, Iowa, Pearl and Warren at home, who were with her doing all that loving hands could do when she was called home. Besides her children she is survived by her beloved husband, 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lewis H. Rodman of Nora Springs, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Harry Stewart of Ottumwa, Iowa; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

Mrs. Stover was a life long Christian, coming to the Methodist church at Conrad by letter many years ago.

She was a kind and loving wife, a devoted and wonderful mother, an ever faithful friend, always helping those in need and distress. Blest be her wonderful memory.
