Mrs. Joe Robins Dead
Mrs. Joseph Robins passed away at her home near Brandon, Iowa, last Sunday, May 2, 1932, after a number of years of poor health. She had suffered two strokes in that time and had been bedfast the past few weeks.
The body was brought to Grundy Center Monday and taken to the Coffman mortuary.
Mrs. Robins before her marriage was Elizabeth Misner, the daughter of Martin and Mary Misner, and was born Sept. 11, 1875, at Mt. Carroll, Ill., where she lived until about four years of age when she moved with her parents to Grundy Center, where she resided until about a year ago when they moved to a farm near Brandon.
She was married to Joseph Robins on March 26, 1921, in Grundy Center.
Left to mourn her death beside her husband are two sisters, Mrs. W. A. Elliott of Waterloo and Mrs. Anne Elliott of Grundy Center, and three brothers, Harry of Chicago, Oscar of Minneapolis and John of Waterloo. John was the only brother present at the funeral. There is also a step-son, Raymond Robins.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Grundy Center, of which she was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. James B. Bird officiating.
