Mrs. E. M. Heffelfinger Dies In Los Angeles

Word was received here this morning that Mrs. E. M. Heffelfinger, wife of Dr. Heffelfinger, died in Los Angeles yesterday. She had been in poor health during the past two years. She was about 75 years old.

Mrs. Heffelfinger's remains will be sent to Grundy Center and they are expected here Sunday night. She will be buried by the side of her husband in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Heffelfinger's maiden name was Mame Edgerton. Her home before her marriage 53 years ago was at Eldora. Dr. Heffelfinger died about 30 years ago. There are two surviving sons, both residing in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Mary A. Heffelfinger

Mrs. Mary A. Heffelfinger was born October 1, 1856, at Eldora, Iowa.

She married Doctor Edwin Heffelfinger and to their home three sons were given. One son died in early infancy. The other two sons still live; one the older, Dr. M. A. Heffelfinger is now on his way returning from Panama. The other, the younger, Owen, lives in California. He accompanied his mother's remains to Grundy Center to be buried.

The funeral was conducted at the Coffman Funeral home at 2:30 p.m. It was on Monday. Rev. R. B. Fisher, assisted by Rev. A. G. Annette, conducted the services.

Mrs. Heffelfinger left here shortly after the death of her husband 30 years ago. She has been in California for the last 16 years.
