Mrs. Heye Boyenga Died Monday At Ackley Home

She Came to Northwest Grundy From Illinois 72 Years Ago

Mrs. Heye Boyenga died at her home in Ackley Monday following an illness which covered a period of several months. She suffered a stroke of paralysis last November from which she did not recover.

Funeral services will be held from the home at one o'clock Friday and later at the German Presbyterian church in German township. Rev. F. W. Engelke will be the officiating pastor.

Mrs. Boyenga was born at Grand Detour, Ill., May 1st, 1858, and she was but a few day past 73. When but one year old she came with her parents to Iowa where the family settled on a farm in German township 3 1/2 miles south of Ackley. In June, 1877, she was married to Heye Boyenga. Mr. and Mrs. Boyenga resided on a farm near Ackley until they moved to Ackley six years ago.

Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters, Remda and Helen who are at home, Mrs. Mattie Freese who lives on the home farm, Mrs. Anna Isebrand, Blairsburg, Iowa, and Mrs. Florence Beuer, Ackley. There are five grandchildren.
