The Grundy Democrat Newspaper, Thursday, Nov. 5, 1942 page Five. (Note: The name of the deceased should have been Charlotte, but they used a sisters name instead Cornelia).

Miss Cornelia (Should be Charlotte"Lottie") Brown Dies at Advanced Age

Miss Cornelia ("Lottie") Brown died at 1:30 Tuesday morning at an advance age. Had she lived 11 days longer, she would have been 88 years old. Dropsy, combined with old age, was the cause of her death. She was confined to her bed several months before the end came.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown farm home five miles south of Grundy Center Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. David Alexander will conduct the service. Burial will be in the family lot in the cemetery at Fifteen Mile Grove.

Miss Brown was a native of Pennsylvania. When the family came west the lived for a time in Clinton count. Over 50 years ago they came to Grundy county and acquired a farm which has been the family home since they came here.

The deceased left here to establish a home in Hampton where she lived eight years. Four years ago she returned to the family home here.

The father and mother are buried at Fifteen Mile Grove. Also a sister, Clara, whop died five years ago. Surviving are the brothers Charles and Alonzo, and one sister, Lottie (Cornelia).
