Elmer C. Boren Dies Friday At Charles City

Funeral Services Held at Grundy Center Monday Afternoon

Elmer C. Boren died quite suddenly from an attack of the heart at his home in Charles City Friday. He went home from his work at the Hart-Parr factory at noon feeling as well as usual. Shortly after he reached home he was stricken with a heart attack and he died before one o'clock.

The remains were brought to Grundy Center for burial. They reached here Sunday and were taken to the home of Mr. Borens mother. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. B. Bird, were held at the M.E. church at 2:30 o'clock Monday. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mr. Boren was born in Jaysville, Parke county, Ohio. He was 47 years old. He came to Iowa twenty-two years ago and for twenty years lived on a farm in Hancock county. He had been living in Charles City during the past year.

Surviving relatives are the wife and five children, the mother, two brothers and one sister. The children are Mrs. Mildred Faga, Madison, Wisconsin, Forest, Hazel, Harold, and Bonnie who are at home. The brothers are Emory E. of Grundy Center, Elza from Chicago. The sister, Mrs. Lola Dynes, also lives in Grundy Center.

Relatives from out of the county who were here at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Faga from Madison, Wis., Ole Hill, and sons, Oscar and Irwin from Leland, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Rhinkey from Milwaukee.
