Death Of Mrs. J. P. Wilhelm

Long Time Resident of County Passed Away Monday

Mrs. J. P. Wilhelm died at her home in this city at ten o'clock on Monday following a sickness which covered a period of several months. About a year ago Mrs. Wilhelm suffered a stroke of paralysis. Since that time she has been in delicate health. For several weeks before her death the end was expected to come at any time. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in this city at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon after which interment was made in the local cemetery.

Had Mrs. Wilhelm lived until the 23rd of this month she would have been 73 years old. Her maiden name was Miss Addie Marteeny. She was born in Somerset Co., Pa., and following her marriage she and her family moved to Dixon, Ill., where they resided until they came to Grundy county in 1880. The family located on a farm southwest of this city where Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm continued to reside until 5 years ago when they moved to this city. Mrs. Wilhelm was the last of a family of nine children. She is survived by her husband and three children. The children are C. W., Harry and Mrs. Boyd all of whom reside here.

Relatives from a distance who were here at the funeral were Mrs. Alice Crawford from Dixon, Ill., Simon Young and Mrs. Mosholder from Sterling, Illinois.
