Death of Dennis Powers

Dennis Powers died at his home at Barnum, Iowa, last Sunday following a short sickness with pneumonia. Services were held there Tuesday after which the remains were sent to Grundy Center for interment in the Catholic cemetery.

Mr. Powers was a former resident of this county. He was a cousin of the Connell boys living here. He and his family resided near Berlin and they left this county about five years ago. Mr. Powers was 58 years old and he was a native of Ireland.

Mr. Powers is survived by a wife, four daughters and two sons. The mother and children accompanied the remains to Grundy Center.
